Dunnottar Castle
This impressive ruined fortress 2mile from Adina is probably one of Stonehaven's most popular attractions.

Stonehaven Open Air Pool
This popular attraction first opened in 1934 and 75th year celebrations were opened by Alex Salmond First Minister for Scotland on 3rd July 2009.A new paddling pool was also opened in 2009.

Stonehaven Heritage Society
The Society was founded in 1987, with the intention of preserving the history and heritage of the town of Stonehaven and area, and to encourage interest in the history by arranging meetings, lectures, exhibitions etc.

Stonehaven Fireballs
The Fireball Ceremony is the traditional way to greet the new year in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire. Held at midnight on the 31st of December every year.

Stonehaven Folk Festival
Held annually in July. Includes programme, reporting on previous years, and details for ticket sales and contact.

North East Open Studios

Fowlsheugh Bird Sanctuary
If you're new to birdwatching, what better way to see the beauty of birds close up than by visiting a seabird cliff colony? The spectacular cliffs at Fowlsheugh are packed with 130,000 breeding seabirds in the spring and summer, including guillemots, razorbills and kittiwakes.
